Wersja polska

This project is aimed at small, alive and feeling beings. It is specifically for them that Tatiana Czekalska and Leszek Golec design implants – special spaces, where these creatures can find shelter and lead their lives. Czekalska and Golec plant a small room in the gallery’s space and change its purity with an alien interpolation. It is not however about staining the puristic aesthetics of a white cubicle, it is more about being open to what, according to the customary logic, has no right to be found there.

The placing of an implant is not only a visible sign of the presence of creatures that are not human, but what is more, it is a symbolic act of giving them equal rights. Primarily the right to exist. An invitation to move into the gallery, where a special home is designed and made, should be one of the signs of this equality. The gallery becomes not only a place for experiencing art, but also a habitat to live in.
Tatiana Czekalska and Leszek Golec will place the IHS (Insect Home System) implant in the space of ZONA, where its model will also be presented. In their work, the artists consistently design systems that compliment architecture (IHS), appliances serving as sort of a prosthesis of compassion for people (Avatar), as well as performative acts with the participation of creatures. The characters in their art are alive creatures that also feel, no matter what the form that their being has adopted, while the goal is to implant the basic ethics of life into culture.
